Spezzano

Spezzano Castle, dating back to the 13th century, was modified beginning in 1529 by the Pio di Savoia family, who transformed it into a noble palace with a Renaissance porticoed courtyard. Of particular note is the Hall of Views, frescoed around 1596 by Cesare Baglione. The castle is surrounded by a historic park, with a picnic area. A footpath from the castle leads to the Salse di Nirano Nature Reserve.

It is home to a Museum of Ceramics and the Municipal Vinegar Works.
